Atari, now owned by Warner Communications, has began to create new games, for example "AtariFit." It also has also created gambling games, that are supposed to be extremely realistic. It is interesting to see what Warner has done to Atari, currently.
In 2013, Atari filed for bankruptcy, and sold all of their assets to Warner Communications, for $28 million dollars. That's a lot, but it is also sad. Currently, Warner uses the Atari site and they still create games today, that motivate health and realism.
Many Atari games, and other company video games were thrown into a landfill, thanks to the 1983 video game industry crash. This was to the thanks of ET: Extra Terrestrial. The game was declared as 'awful' by many. Thousands of video games by Atari were found in the landfill, and they will sell for up to $500.00 dollars each, sometimes even more! These cartridges will sell to museums, people, and even on eBay. Sadly, most of the games were ruined in time.
In 1983, ET horribly crashed the video game industry, because of how badly made it was. It caused at massive crash, that caused many gaming companies to go bankrupt, and almost Atari. This is a very sad year for gaming, but some video games brought the industry back up, but the reputation would still be slightly crushed.
